SENECA, S.C. — John Burton Spradling, 71, of 14036 Richardson Drive, died Thursday, Nov. 5 at his home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8 in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Heritage Memorial Mausoleum, Hwy. 11, Westminster.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mr. Spradling’s memory may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.

Born in Paris, Ark., he was retired from the poultry industry where he worked in management. Mr. Spradling attended the Full Gospel Temple.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Lou Satterfield Spradling; son, David White and wife, Lynn; daughters, Deborah Tycer and husband, Art, Deborah Lynn O’Conner and husband, Jim, Vicki Becque and husband, Larry and Ledra Shepherd and husband, Bill; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

His parents, Marvin Owen and Minnielle Davis Hill preceded him in death.
