SENECA, S.C. — Norma May McClellan Ballard, 88, wife of the late Paul James Ballard, of 714 Tanglewood Drive, died Wednesday, Oct. 28 at Cottingham Hospice House. Mr. and Mrs. Ballard were together 73 years and died within 48 hours of each other, side by side.

Memorial services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8 from the Chapel of Davenport Funeral Home, Walhalla, SC. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. – 4 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oconee Hospice of the Foothills, Attn. Foundation Office, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672 or Crossgate Presbyterian Church, Building Fund, PO Box 365, Seneca, SC 29679. The family is at the home of daughter, Sharon Stone, 714 Tanglewood Drive, Seneca.

A native of Bridgeport, Conn., Mrs. Ballard was the daughter of the late Charles Douglas and Bessie Jane Clark McClellan. Before retirement, she worked along side her husband as bookkeeper of Dolphin Marina in Cape Coral, Fla. Mrs. Ballard attended Crossgate Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Ballard is survived by sons, Paul Douglas Ballard and David James Ballard, both of Fort Myers, Fla.; daughter, Sharon Ann Stone and her husband, Lamar of Seneca; sister, Jeanne Barrett of Shokan, N.Y.; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
