JACKSON, Tenn. — Ted A. Andrews, a native Daytonian, born July 15, 1952, died Oct. 24 in Jackson.

No formal services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to your favorite animal rescue, humane society or Ted’s favorite, Brukner Nature Center, 5995 Horseshoe Bend Road, Troy, OH 45373.

He began as an English teacher and evolved into an internationally reknown author of more than 40 books in 24 different languages. He will be greatly missed by many people.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy; mother, Shirley; brothers, Terry, Tim, Tom (Carrie) and Tony (Jan); sisters, Tamara (Steve Pasick) and Theresa; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald J.

George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
