Shannon Donald, a volunteer cafeteria monitor at Six Mile Elementary School, is one of the reasons why the school achieved the highest number of volunteer hours in the School District of Pickens County in 2008-09. By monitoring the cafeteria during lunchtime for teachers on duty, Donald gives those teachers an opportunity for free time during lunch.
