Being born with an inherent appreciation of the written word, Andrew Moore of Central became a reporter for the Daily Journal/Messenger in April 2008 after serving as a city reporter at the Richmond County Daily Journal in Rockingham, N.C.

He covers crime, emergency services, the city of Seneca, as well as politics, and in 2008 won third place at the annual South Carolina Press Association awards for in-depth reporting. He also writes a Thursday sports column, "Sideline Speculations," and often lends a helping hand with coverage of Clemson sports. He enjoys honing his craft among consummate professionals, and considers the Daily Journal/Messenger 'a special place to be.' When not spending time with wife, Lesley, and son, Connor, he enjoys watching Clemson athletics, reading, writing, and spending time with friends and family.
