On Swinney takes blame for Tigers' loss to Maryland

Well a little Dabo will do you and Clemson fans should realize that he has done all he can with his mouth. Yes he talked a good game but Walt Deptula (104.9 radio) was correct when he said go get a proven coach. Can you imagine next year without Spiller how ugly it is going to be. Dabo has a stable of talent but that will soon end. As good as J. Ford is he has dropped several critical balls this year and if he puts Brown back on the field so we can enjoy more of that misery, well??? I will admit I thought Parker would be the QB, but its time to try anyone that is available because Parker is on his way to tying Harper's throw it out of bounds record plus he is scared to run when it is wide open at times. What a bone head fumble at the end. Ellington is on the receiving team and not a clue to where the ball is, but why is Ford and Spiller not coming up and catching these balls. Everyone is hoping for a win and not making it happen. Sapp was not even mentioned and talk about undisciplined. Does Dabo not understand that every penalty has the potential to lose the game? Penalties are a dollar a doz. with Clemson. Ask Austin how bad he has hurt the Tigers chances with his mistakes. I feel sorry for Korn after one series that led to a field goal with the second string backs instead of Spiller in the game. Well don't play him anymore since he can actually give you a running QB chance. Lets talk about how smart the play calling is to keep giving Jackson the bad angles where he is having trouble with missing to the right. Suck it up Dabo for I know you can talk your way into a couple more years before Mr. Phillips admits he was wrong. How many smack em in the mouth touchdowns have the Tigers made this year? Well that going to change, right Dabo? Why does TV even want to carry their games, they look like the bad news bears except Spiller (who is a one man team).

On Bobcats' undefeated run ends against Riverside

I'm afraid these girls will remember this game the rest of their lives. They were the better team, but not last night. They warmed up without emotion and were plagued themselves with mistake after mistake topped with numerous thoughtless and unneccesary fouls. Icey could have fouled out earlier but the refs gave her several breaks on reach ins, but they did make one cheap call against her. She consistently lost her composure & even though she is highly talented when the chips counted she had a terrible game (other than foul shooting). Except for the guards the other girls looked out of condition most of the game and could not finish off the plays where Seneca stole the ball time and time again. The Riverside girls played with a lot more emotion and even though Seneca kept it close they were always out of sync. I don't believe they faked (pump faked) a single shot all night because the Riverside girls seem to stuff the Lady Cats shots all night inside unless they were wide open for a shot. I don't watch many of their games but was completely disappointed in their effort last night especialy knowing their past history of the 3rd round. Congrats to them for another good season, but they know in their hearts it shouldn't be over.

On Darwin turns 200, debate continues

Waste all the tax dollars you can. The Bible says God spoke the creation & inhabitants into existance. He also gave us brains in that poor evolutionist believe that an explosion occurred then a rock started breathing & then well here we are. Read Romans 1:19 & 20. The Bible (around these verses)states that only fools will not believe. It will not be cool to go into eternity as a non believer, but rather hot.
When these scientist can cross breed a horse and dog or a cow and bird, then they might impress God, but he made all creation from scratch (animals two at a time). I guess when a rooster evolved, he lived millions of years until a hen evolved with some viagra so they could have some chicks. Yep keep spending our tax money on Darwin's follies, makes sense to me.

On Napier’s role as OC finalizes Clemson’s staff

Swinney has already reverting back to the Bowden era offense. The bubble screens were well back in place in the Gator Bowl and it cost them the game. Nebraska was not that good. I thought after the Carolina game even though there were some real bonehead calls, (like when Clemson was running it down their throats to a 1st and goal from the 4, then passed incomplete on 2 out of 3 downs) that the program was going forward, but after the Bowl game & this move, "I'm all out" & so will a lot of fans before the end of next year. Not only did he call a bubble near the goal line in the 1st half of the bowl game, but he also called it so wide that the angle caused the field goal attempt to misfire. Real smart!
The writing is on the wall, believe me. Dabo is the next great Tiger loser. I agree with Walt on Road rage now, he was a bad hire & the Tiger nation will ride another few years down the "we should have" lane. He is a great guy and so was Tommy, but winning big football games will not happen. He already is just trying to survive. He needs new coaches, the old one are proven losers except Brad Scott. What is Dabo thinking? How many versions of the zero, 1 or 2 yd pass can be invented when you need 5 or more yds and you promote the designer of the QB that continuously took stupid sack after sack or threw out of bounds every 2 out of 3 attempts? I know all you disagree, but just wait.

On Harper, Tigers wish they could do it over

I'm glad Harper can't do it over or ever again for Clemson. The best thing about the end of this season is Harper is gone. If you could just have a tape reel of this years games and actually replay all the sacks he took and all the passes he intentionally threw out of bounds to prevent interceptions plus all the interceptions you would have to conclude Dabo knows (hopefully) that Clemson has great QB concerns with no one else to go to. Fans don't believe for a second that Korn will be any better. The QB on just about every winning team is the difference and until Clemson can recruit a runner & passer to keep defenses honest, Dabo will end up just like Bowden. Discipline has already reared its ugly head with critical penalties. How long has it been since the Tigers have won a bowl game against a big name? I hope the Parker kid is as good at Football as he is baseball. Clemson has got to get a big time QB. Please...take all Harper's good stats against no name schools vs. the games we needed (like today) & he will not be missed. My concern is whether Dabo realizes that the QB position is killing Clemson's future chances.

On It may be a fresh start, but it’s the same result for Clemson

I waited to see the hype of Dabo and it was pretty clear just like Walt Deptula has stated all week on his Road Rage talk show that Clemson needs to go get a hard nose discipline style coach. If any fan stands behind Dabo after Sat they are still willing to accept mediocrity with the Clemson program. How can you not tell a punt rusher not to run into the kicker especially when he wasn’t even close to blocking it? I bet the kid wasn't even coached that being blocked into the kicker doesn't matter.
When does a Clemson coach realize all the penalties kill their chances? The run defense did a good job, but like always you could have put high school kids out there to cover the pass plays, "what a joke their coverage is".
How could you put a kick returner back in the game that cost your team a touchdown when he was run down by the opposing team's KICKER with lots of room to escape?
Look at all the major teams in that they have a QB that can hurt you with the run. (A physical QB like GT's) and on that note, Harper again had Ford 10 yds behind the defender and threw to someone else that was short of a 1st down. In fact most of his critical throws are out of bounds. He was flushed out of the pocket late in the game and did a good job to get away just to miss Tyler G. down field wide open. Does the coaches ever look at how many times Harper eats the ball for loses instead of throwing it away.
One last note is Dabo should be in the leagues office if he accepts holding calls like the one on the center that negated the 1st down to Ford late in the game. The replay did not show holding and that was big. Also he should question if Clemson as always is the only line that holds.
Can we not get away from the short pass calls?
I hope he can correct alot of this by the next game, but if not I don't think the Clemson orange can pull the wool over Terry Don's eyes. He didn't look happy on the side lines and for a very good reason. Lets hear it Dabo supporters! I mean more Clemson excuses like give him time etc.

On Korn begins his reign as Clemson's quarterback

Why should Kelly care, he can't catch the important ones anyway. Harper telegraphs his passes with eye contact and seldom hits the open guys when coverage breaks down. Korn should have got more playing time with the starters already. Harpers big stats only came against weak lopsided oppentents. Why is that so hard to see? No wonder the program is reeling. Anything will be an improvement. Gamecocks don't notch it up yet. We can normally beat USC when they are favored.

On With Harper benched, Tigers start to move on

I hope on the hand offs that Willy doesn't have to stick the ball out early and show the whole defense who is going to get the ball. How about some quick hitter type hand offs Ron.
If Willy looks at his receiver from the time he takes the snap like Harper not much will change there either. And for Pete's sake if it 3rd down & passing yardage don't even think of throwing it short of a first down marker. I'm am sick of the hundreds of instant replays above we see over and over, game after game. Next is coaching changes. Jim Stuckey said it best "Clemson doesn't know what smash mouth football is anymore". We got pansy coaches.

On Both quarterbacks, young wideouts to play for Gamecocks

Why not add Garcia into the mix so the Cocks can have three choices to flounder with. The ole ball coach is ruining his legend real fast under the chicken curse. Two things will not change:"We believe in Spurrier" and "Wait til next year". Funny that wait til next year is already in use & the season has just began!
