No the scoreboard is still not working properly. I asked about it a couple of days ago and was told it's to expensive. You're right Joan did all the work and now Shannon is the workhorse. While Mr. Lacey walks around shaking hands and taking the glory for anything done right. Seems like no ammount of emails to the mayor makes any difference either he just ignores mine.
Can football get some help? What happens to the money raised from homecoming? Scoreboard that does'nt work, equipment that has been there forever. And when you ask why can't football get any support we are told, "win a title then we will talk". Just a little share of the money would be nice. More importantly a little more consideration for something other than the 2 sports Mr Lacey has children involved in would be better.
One resigned because of the stress and being told she would be pushed out anyway. This lady was very highly thought of and I know of many times she has helped kids of all races including my own. My daughter absolutly adored her and is not sure she wants to go back and play at Seneca. The real villan's here are city ad. for going on news4 and being so condesending and Rick Lacey for how wanted her out.
No matter what it's a crime. And being a good kid up to now or what the circumstances are don't change that. There is always a story or a reason people do things. The you disrespected my moma junk doesn't work in the real world.
All I will say is that if you have a problem go to the source. And if you don't have a child involved how would you know this anyway? As far as the other team with the Redmonds I know for a fact they have had numerous complaints this season and even one to the mayor. All of wich was unwarrented. My point is that someone is always going to complain or have a gripe. If you are going to accuse someone of abusing children this is not the place to do it, sitting behind an anonymous tag. Step up walk out on the feild and tell them what you think. Or as willie said if you truly beleive they were abused then call the police.
I have been at every practice and game for the 9-10 year old team and have not seen anything over the line. The yelling incident involved a kid who was unresponsive and disrespectful to the coaches and was given many chances to stop. He hit another player long after the whistle and that was the third or fourth time he had been warned that day. This was an everyday occurance with this chid. He was told to run wich is a normal punishment for these incidents, he refused and ignored the coach and was told to leave. I think everyone is losing sight of the fact that these men dedicate thier time to help these young men and are paid nothing. For that they are yelled at and get complaints daily. The simple fact is alot of the parents want thier kids to win but they don't want them to have the discipline. Football is a team sport and you can't let a few who choose to spend thier time goofing off and direspecting coaches get off without concequences, while the others work hard every day. Might I suggest that the ones complaing sign up and give it a try themselves.
