In response to the question of the Bantem Chef and the free family food: Don't ask the employees next time you go through there, ask the owners! So, what if they do feed their family for free. The owners happen to be generous people. I know they give food to charities, fund raisers, etc. as well as monetary donations! So, THANK YOU for all your contributions Randy and Tina!

The Historical Society named McMahan Bridge, after Bob McMahan. Bob built the dam, owned and operated his saw mill and corn mill off the dam. The corn meal being the dominate business. Bob would saw enough lumber to build a coffin for $0.25. (Boy, has times changed!) Bob Mc. left here in the mid 20s and Andrew Farmer (Dr. Nimmon's uncle) ran the mill during the 30's and 40's.Jeff McMahan and Bob were brothers. Jeff McMahan's son was a highway engineer but not affiliated with the McMahan Bridge. Now, the second bridge in queation has no name but is known to all the "locals" as the Crooked Creek Bridge.

My doctor closed her practice last February also. If by chance we are talking about the same practice, then our records were turned over to Dr. Coffey. I was told if I did not want him to be my doctor then I should drop by and pick up my records at his office. Hope this helps.

Alright, cowboy and somethingstinks, who -ee- in your cornflakes today? I'm sure the Chastain boys sit around the table at Sunday dinner discussing a strategy of how to take over Wahalla, yeah right! Do I detect a bit of jealousy erupting in you two? Noone can fault these two for taking opportunities offered them. The mayor is ELECTED, now what does that tell you.(The majority sees in Randy something you two are obviously jealous of.) As for the chief, he is one of the most grounded, level headed and unbiased people that has occupied the chief's position.
So, I guess Sprouse is unfair and one sided because he didn't let you off the hook. You can't fault any of these people for taking the initiative to give back. What do you two supply the town of Walhalla?

On Mayor says illegal aliens abound

Amen, Mayor Chastain! Even if the number of school age children have not spiked it is no indicator of how many illegals are presently here. Hard to count someone when it is not documented. I can't stand the thoughts of our school, hospital and governmental systems having to provide provisions for the non English speaking, mostly illegal aliens. While tax payers are paying for these provisions the illegals are, in turn, making American money to send back to their respective countries so as to bring them over the border to.

I think it is a shame that a principal at a school has to be the one to try and teach our children how to dress! Come on! This is a direct reflection of the parents and their lack of respect for all involved. I have repeatedly read unfair bashings of Middleton. It is evident some of these kids have been failed miserably by their parents and Middleton is taking the heat. I say if the children have been taught to respect their elders, school officials, and peers there would not be near the "issues" that kids deal with today.

To all BRB customers, TAKE HEED, and know where your financial holdings are being placed! The developing property on 123 will host yet another BRB establishment to accompany the BRB at Bountyland. Hooray, for the few jobs this will create but shame on the BRB managers for spendig their customers monies so frivolously!
