On Oconee has fat cash in reserves waiting to be used

when the new courthouse was built, it should have been the responsibility of the contractors and architechs to make sure it was built to make the courthouse comply with federal Americans With Disabilites Act .

On Oconee's coffers are overflowing

if the county has all this money that they dont know what to do with , why not put some of it back in the school system and take some of the burden off the parents and teachers worrying if their children will have enough school supplies to take them through the school year.

On Business is racing to Westminster

The citizens who live near the racetrack knew what was going to happen when racing season started. For the newcomers thats moved there, what did they think would happen when the races started. This event is a big boost for the westminster businesses, and everyone should agree that since this happens only 1 night a week, they should try to compromise .If the Holbrooks were still running the track you would never hear any complaints. This place has been in business nearly 40 years, so the grandfather clause should apply to it.

On Police crack drug operation

whats the point in arresting these people when the court systems won't set a high bond. just like the big sting in seneca last week, most of these people are repeated offenders, but none are serving time. its very frustrating for to all the officers spending time and money to arrest these drug dealers and others, just to have them bailed out before the officers can get their paperwork processed, i understand the low bonds are set because there's no room in the detention center to house them.south carolina needs to go back to the chaingang days with hard labor, maybe then people will think twice before dealing drugs again.the dealers know they won't be serving time so thats why you see so many repeaters arrested.so whats the point in wasting the officers time doing all these arrests.

On Seneca teen arrested after overdose

this person was 18 years old. he should have known better than taking something he probably didn't even know what it was.i agree with jsl47,these drugs are handed out too freely and just too easy to get.adults needs to monitor any medication they are using to make sure their kids are not swiping them for a cheap high or selling them.

On Clemson's Spence blames poor execution for loss

this offense coordinator is talking out his behind.of course he's blaming the players. but it wasn't the players who decided to abandon the running game, and try passing. and talking about being predictable, everybody knows what plays they are going to run each down. time to try something different with different players, its not a 1-2 player team anyway.they played a great 1st half , with a good half time score, but they looked like a different team the 2nd half.

On Clemson's Spiller is hurting, but will play

sounds to me like he might have a metatarsal stress fracture in his foot. that can be very painful, especially when you try to flex your foot, like trying to run.looks like the doctor could determine if thats what it is.
