Hopefully, Council will consider this option for the teens of Walhalla. I think it's a great idea and has potential to bring more interest and revenue to the city. This would provide a safe, fun, and supervised activity for the "good kids" and even adults.
Progression in Oconee County and for its citizens is based strictly on personal gain since we've moved to an appointed administration. The people of this county should have the final say in their leadership and the way this county government should operate. Elected administrators had a real concern for the people and for the county since this is where they lived, as well. Hiring government climbers with over paid salaries and egos to match has proven to be a waste of time and money for this county. The Anderson County way of government is not something I, as a life long resident of Oconee, want to continue to happen here. When you abandon your roots and the masses that keep you afloat, you can expect conflict. It's been "the little man" that established this county.....a county that I'm quite proud of.....but it will be the government that will kill it. "A government that is big enough to give you everything you want is also a government that is big enough to take it away."......Think about it.
Bravo Donnie Murphy!! Too bad you didn't do more damage than just a butt wound!! Maybe these slugs that are too lazy to work and think stealing is a better option will take note. It's a sad, sad world we live in.
