How Personhood Laws will hurt all pregnant women: In theory Personhood Laws sound like a good idea - protect the rights of the unborn. But at what cost to the Mother? Few truly realize how far these laws extend. Below is a video highlighting the consequences of Personhood laws have caused in the states that have passed them. This is a perfect example of good intentions gone wrong - when these laws were being drafted I sincerely doubt lawmakers intended to have women in labor handcuffed and drug from their homes to be strapped down and forced to have major (and dangerous) surgery against their will. But unfortunately that's exactly what they've done. Doctors and Judges are being given ultimate and unquestionable authority over not only a mother's rights, but her life and the life of her wanted child. If abortion rights are what you are passionate about I beg of you - Please, PLEASE find another way to protect what you cherish. This is not the way to accomplish it. Vote not only with with your heart but also your head. Encourage your lawmakers to do the same. Think beyond abortion - think life.
